Every photo, every spoken answer, and every recognized problem is processed on the device — nothing is uploaded anywhere.
There's no account, no sign-in, and nothing that identifies your child.
No ads, no analytics, no third-party trackers of any kind.

This policy explains, plainly, what Listening Questions does with the camera, microphone, and photo library access it asks for — and just as importantly, what it doesn't do with them.

Camera & photo library

When you scan a worksheet, the photo is read on your device using on-device text recognition to find the printed problems. When you import a worksheet from your photo library instead, the same on-device process runs on the image you choose. If you scan a fresh photo, the app can save it back to your photo library so you can reuse it later without rescanning — that save happens locally, on your device, using Apple's standard Photos APIs.

Worksheet photos are never uploaded, transmitted, or sent to us or anyone else.

Microphone & speech recognition

If you choose voice mode, the microphone listens for a spoken answer after each problem. Speech recognition runs entirely on-device — it works without an internet connection, and no audio or transcript is sent off the phone. If you choose keypad mode instead, the microphone is never used.

What we store

On your device

Your chosen speech speed and answer mode (voice or keypad) are saved locally so they're remembered next time you open the app.

Anywhere else

Nothing. We don't operate a server that the app talks to, so there's no account, no database, and no record of your child's answers or activity outside the device.

No ads, no analytics, no tracking

Listening Questions doesn't show ads, doesn't include third-party analytics or advertising SDKs, and doesn't track usage across other apps or websites.

Children's privacy

Listening Questions is designed for children to use directly, and it's built around that from the ground up: it collects no personal information from any user, child or adult, because it has nothing to send anywhere. There is no chat, no social feature, and no way for a child to enter identifying information into the app.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes — for example, if a future version of the app adds a feature that does send data somewhere — we'll update this page and the "last updated" date above before that feature ships.
